The New Orleans Saints have selected wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith out of Central Florida in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, 91st overall.
Smith is a smooth athlete who has the agility to consistently create separation. He will require time to develop as a route-runner, but the Saints won't need to rush him into the lineup with Michael Thomas, Ted Ginn Jr., and free-agent signing Cameron Meredith atop the depth chart.

What the analysts are saying
- "Smith's easy acceleration in space creates workable advantages early in routes, but he'll need to keep improving on his press-release technique." - Lance Zierlein, NFL.com
- "The redshirt junior graduate requires route refinement, but for a player who didn't play organized football until his junior year in high school, he is further along than expected." - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
