Redskins add another Alabama product in Shaun Dion Hamilton
The Washington Redskins selected linebacker Shaun Dion Hamilton out of Alabama with the 197th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft after a trade with the Los Angeles Rams.
The Rams received the 205th and 231st overall picks from the Redskins in exchange for the 197th pick and 256th pick - the draft's final selection.
The Nick Saban product will start his career as a backup behind Zach Brown and Mason Foster. He's the second Alabama player drafted by the Redskins this year following first-round defensive tackle following Da'Ron Payne, and the fourth player taken by Washington from Saban's program in the last two years.
