The Dallas Cowboys have selected wide receiver Michael Gallup out of Colorado State in the third round with the 81st overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft.
With the club's decision to cut Dez Bryant in the offseason, depth at the receiver position was certainly an area of need entering the draft, and the Cowboys addressed that with Gallup's selection.
Gallup was third in the country last season in receptions, hauling in 100 passes for 1,413 yards and seven touchdowns.

What the analysts are saying
- "Natural athlete with good size who finds ways to get open through burst and athletic ability ... Gallup is still a little raw, but is quickly fine-tuning his game and may have the ability to become a good WR2 in the league."
- Lance Zierlein, NFL.com - "With a last name like Gallup, it is perhaps ironic that one of the biggest questions the record-breaking receiver has to address at this point is his straight-line speed. Gallup's production - regardless of competition faced - speaks for itself, as does his well-developed frame."
