The Kansas City Chiefs have selected linebacker Dorian O'Daniel out of Clemson in the third round with the 100th overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft.
After allowing the fifth-most yards in the league last season, the Chiefs made a point to address the defense throughout the early stages of the draft. Prior to taking O'Daniel in the third round, the club added defensive tackles Breeland Speaks and Derrick Nnadi to bolster the line.
O'Daniel could be a very key depth piece who could contribute from Day 1 for the Chiefs.

What the analysts are saying
- "O'Daniel is a rangy, playmaking linebacker that isn't a matchup liability in today's NFL. O'Daniel is a truly balanced linebacker prospect that can cover tight ends and running backs, pass rush, and defend the run." - DraftBlaster
- "Has the frame of a big safety, but is an average athlete in space. Is a little sluggish in his directional change and needs a runway to accelerate to top speed. Pursuit speed is below par. Often blocked by smaller slot players against spread rushing attacks." - Lance Zierlein, NFL.com
