Chiefs trade up to grab Breeland Speaks in 2nd round

The Kansas City Chiefs have selected defensive lineman Breeland Speaks out of OIe Miss in the second round with the 46th overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft.

The pick, along with the 100th pick overall, was acquired in a trade with the Cincinnati Bengals for the 54th and 78th picks in the draft.

The move represents a commitment by the club to add a playmaker to Bob Sutton's defense, a unit that allowed the fifth-most yards in the NFL last season.
