The San Francisco 49ers have selected defensive lineman Kentavius Street out of NC State with the 128th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Street is the 49ers' fifth selection in this year's draft and third straight defensive piece added. The N.C. State product will likely be used as a rotation player on their defensive line in the middle or on the edge in their 4-3 scheme.

What the analysts are saying

  • "Has the level of strength and toughness that defenses are looking for on the edge, but his lack of reactive quickness and lack of desired length is a concern against NFL tackles." - Lance Zierlein, NFL.com
  • "Street was overshadowed at NC State but he is an explosive athlete perhaps better suited to the pass-happy NFL than the ACC, showcasing the blend of size, speed and agility to play multiple roles in a traditional 4-3 scheme." - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
