The Indianapolis Colts have selected guard Braden Smith out of Auburn in the second round with the 37th overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Smith is the second offensive lineman the Colts have selected in this year's draft after the club took guard Quenton Nelson out of Notre Dame with the sixth overall selection.
The pick highlights the commitment to bolstering the offensive line that new coach Frank Reich has made with the expected return of star quarterback Andrew Luck this season.

What the analysts are saying
- "Smith is a grinder whose play could vary greatly based upon the matchup across from him. He has size and power, but the holes in his game are unlikely to be patched up with coaching." - Lance Zierlein, NFL.com
- "Active hands, but placement lacks refinement, often landing outside his target. Needs to better protect his breastplate." - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
