The Carolina Panthers have selected edge rusher Marquis Haynes out of Ole Miss with the 136th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
The Panthers obtained the pick by executing a trade with the Los Angeles Rams. The NFC West club will receive a fifth and a sixth-round selection in the deal.
Haynes gives the Panthers another weapon to rush the passer in a division that features quarterbacks such as Drew Brees, Matt Ryan, and Jameis Winston.

What the analysts are saying
- "Explodes out of the starting blocks with his get-off as rusher. Pure speed can bend and buzz the edge to attack the quarterback." - Lance Zierlein, NFL.com
- "Haynes shows limited strength and technique with his hands to disengage from blockers once they've latched on, including against tight ends." - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com
