Los Angeles Chargers defensive tackle Corey Liuget has been suspended the first four games of the 2018 season for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances, the team confirmed.
The 28-year-old has started all but two games he has been active for since entering the league in 2011 as a first-round pick.
Liuget said in a statement that he takes "full responsibility" for his actions, though he claims to have taken the substances unintentionally.
