The Philadelphia Eagles have selected edge rusher Josh Sweat out of Florida State with the 130th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Sweat is among the more talented edge rushers in the draft but dropped to the fourth round due to injury concerns.

With arguably the most dominant pass rush in the league, the Eagles can use Sweat in specific situations to get the best out of his ability.

What the analysts are saying

  • "Sweat's initial quickness and issues with contact balance could hinder his ability to play with his hand down." - Lance Zierlein, NFL.com
  • "He is built exactly as NFL teams want edge rushers to look, flashing the burst, bend and power to live up to his lofty pre-injury billing." - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
  • "Sweat’s combination of size, length, and explosiveness will make him a highly coveted prospect, despite his lack of huge numbers." - Luke Easterling, DraftWire
