Raiders trade up to add offensive line help with Brandon Parker
Glenn Andrews / USA TODAY Sports
The Oakland Raiders have selected offensive tackle Brandon Parker out of North Carolina A&T in the third round with the 65th overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft.
The Raiders acquired the selection by trading the 75th, 152nd, and 212th picks to the Baltimore Ravens.
After a solid career with a small collegiate program, Parker turned in a very impressive showing at the Senior Bowl to see his name rise up draft boards. His addition, along with the Raiders' first-round selection of tackle Kolton Miller, shows a commitment from new coach Jon Gruden to strengthen the protection for star quarterback Derek Carr.

What the analysts are saying
- "Parker's high center of gravity creates some athletic challenges for him, but he possesses the physical traits that teams are willing to draft and coach up." - Lance Zierlein, NFL.com
- "Parker needs to add some glass to his diet and some dynamite to his hands, winning at the FCS level despite a finesse playing style that simply won't cut it against NFL defenders." - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
