The general manager who drafted Michael Jordan will be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2018.
Rod Thorn, a longtime NBA executive, will join Grant Hill, Jason Kidd, and Steve Nash in the Class of 2018, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Thorn enjoyed a lengthy front-office career that included stops through Chicago, New Jersey, and Philadelphia, as well as a 14-year stint as the NBA vice president of basketball operations.
He won Executive of the Year in 2002 for building a Nets team that made two runs to the NBA Finals. Thorn also played an instrumental role in drafting Jordan in 1984.
