It's an Opening Day hat trick for Matt Davidson.
In what was an absolute slugfest, the Chicago White Sox designated hitter became only the fourth player to hit three home runs in the first game of the season.

Davidson also set a career high with five RBIs.
The White Sox - who beat the Kansas City Royals 14-7 - combined to hit six home runs (Tim Anderson with two, and Jose Abreu had one), tying the 1988 New York Mets for the most ever on Opening Day.
Davidson showed off his power stroke last season, finishing with 26 home runs (.232 ISO) and 68 RBIs.
