Browns add bruiser Nick Chubb to backfield

The future of the Browns' backfield is set.

Cleveland selected running back Nick Chubb out of Georgia with the 35th overall pick in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft to go along with No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield.

Chubb is a pure downhill runner who will likely push Carlos Hyde for the starting job from Day 1.

Strengths

• Downhill runner who makes plays by using his upper-tier balance and vision.
• Proven himself capable of carrying a large workload while rarely committing any turnovers (three career fumbles).
• Strong interior runner. Able to fight through arm tackles and hits holes with speed.
• Plays with impressive power and aggressiveness.

Weaknesses

• Tore PCL, MCL, and LCL in 2015.
• Has never been a significant factor in the passing game.
• Average athleticism and straight-line speed. Could struggle with outside runs at the NFL level.
