The Carolina Panthers have selected defensive tackle Kendrick Norton out of Miami with the 242nd overall pick in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

What the analysts are saying

  • "Norton is a run-plugging nose tackle with the potential to fit in either odd or even fronts. He has the size and strength to beat single blocks and hang in against double teams, but won't offer much help as a pocket-pusher against the pass." - Lance Zierlein, NFL.com
  • "A bit of a one-trick pony as a run-stuffer, offering little in terms of a pass rush other than a simple bull rush. Possesses the square frame so conducive to winning the battle of leverage at the point of attack with broad shoulders and a massive lower body, including fire hydrants for legs." - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com
