The Carolina Panthers have selected tight end Ian Thomas out of Indiana in the fourth round with the 101st overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft.
While Greg Olsen recently signed a two-year contract with the club, the veteran tight end has struggled with injuries recently. Thomas gives Cam Newton another weapon in the passing game while adding depth at the position.

What the analysts are saying
- "Thomas has the bend and 'man strength' to become a successful in-line blocker if he improves hand placement and grit." Lance Zierlein, NFL.com
- "One-speed mover and lacks nuance or rhythm as a route-runner. Not a proven YAC (yards after catch) threat with minimal missed tackles on tape - only three career receptions over 25 yards." Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
