On April 10, 1962, Dodger Stadium officially opened for business.
Although the inaugural game did not go in favor of the home team - the Los Angeles Dodgers lost 6-3 to the Cincinnati Reds - the Dodgers recovered to go 102-63 during that regular season to secure a playoff spot.
