The Kansas City Chiefs have selected safety Armani Watts out of Texas A&M with the 124th pick in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Watts will certainly provide injury protection for Eric Berry as the brilliant safety has missed almost three full seasons since 2011. With Berry turning 30 by the end of the campaign, Watts has the potential to learn from one of the best before filling a larger role for the team.

What the analysts are saying
- "A feast or famine player whose biggest faults are often self-inflicted and not due to a lack of talent or athletic ability. He's smooth and athletic and plays with the instincts and ball skills to flip the field on the next level." - Lance Zierlein, NFL.com
- "Will need to improve his consistency to stay on the field in the NFL. However, his athleticism and experience are both valuable assets for the next level and give him NFL starting potential at free safety." - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
