Blue Jays get comeuppance for trolling Cleveland about weather
This is not what they meant when they dubbed Josh Donaldson the "Bringer of Rain."
The visiting Toronto Blue Jays saw two of their three weekend games against the Cleveland Indians postponed due to inclement weather and, confident such a thing would never happen north of the border, brazenly trolled the Indians and Progressive Field for not having protection from the elements.
Well, the inevitable has happened and we are in a delay.

Well, the impossible happened Monday. The Blue Jays, returning home from their abbreviated road trip to host a three-game set against the Kansas City Royals, were forced to cancel the opener because ice damaged the roof of the Rogers Centre above the outfield.
Tonight’s game has been cancelled due to inclement weather causing damage to our roof. We apologize to our fans for this inconvenience. Further info for those with purchased tickets to the game will be shared shortly. Tomorrow’s game will be a 3:07 p.m. traditional doubleheader

Hoisted by their own petard, it's been a long time coming after needling Cleveland all weekend.
Today’s game has been postponed due to inclement weather.

Perhaps the Blue Jays will think twice before taunting opponents and the elements, because, as we've learned, Mother Nature taunts back.
