White Sox select Oregon State standout Nick Madrigal No. 4 overall
Steven Branscombe / USA TODAY Sports
With the fourth pick in the 2018 MLB amateur draft, the Chicago White Sox selected Oregon State star Nick Madrigal, an undersized infielder who arguably has the highest floor of any player in this year's class.
Madrigal is the highest-ever selection to come out of Oregon State, surpassing Michael Conforto, who was taken 10th overall in 2014.
