Cleveland Browns defensive back Damarious Randall could soon be in an enormous financial hole thanks to a seemingly innocuous tweet Monday night.
By Tuesday lunchtime, the post had already eclipsed 140,000 retweets. At an average cost of $99.99 per jersey through NFL Shop, Randall has therefore pledged to spend an eye-watering $14 million (and counting) if the Cleveland Cavaliers topple the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals.
And, responding to a doubtful tweeter who asserted there was "zero chance he delivers", Randall replied:
Randall, a fan of the Warriors, is due to make a shade over $1 million from the Browns during the 2018 season. He was traded to Cleveland by the Green Bay Packers earlier in the offseason.
