Royals select Virginia lefty Daniel Lynch with Hosmer compensation pick

With the 34th overall pick in the 2018 MLB amateur draft, the Kansas City Royals selected Daniel Lynch, a left-handed pitcher out of Virginia. The pick comes courtesy of the compensation round for Eric Hosmer signing with the San Diego Padres via free agency this past winter.
