Oliver Ekman-Larsson has officially committed long term to the Arizona Coyotes by inking an eight-year extension, the club announced Sunday.
As expected, it carries an average annual value of $8.25 million, according to 98.7 Arizona Sports' Craig Morgan.
Ekman-Larsson is entering the final season of the six-year, $33-million pact he signed with the Coyotes in the spring of 2013.
The 26-year-old defenseman notched 42 points while appearing in all 82 games for Arizona this past season.
He's spent his entire eight-year career with the Coyotes, who drafted him sixth overall in 2009.
