Jeff Green is going home.
The Washington Wizards and Green have reached an agreement on a one-year deal at the league minimum, a source told David Aldridge of NBA.com, which is worth $2.5 million.
Green - a native of nearby Cheverly, Md. - averaged 10.8 points and 3.2 rebounds while shooting 47.7 percent with the Cleveland Cavaliers last season. He was inconsistent and wasn't quite accurate from the 3-point arc, but did occasionally put on huge playoff performances, especially after Kevin Love was injured during the Eastern Conference finals.
Washington needed a scoring forward off the bench after losing Mike Scott to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night.
