Jordy Clasie returned to his first club Feyenoord on a season-long loan from Southampton on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old skippered the Rotterdam outfit before moving to the south coast of England in 2015 for around £8 million. He only played 38 times in the Premier League for the Saints and spent last season on loan at Club Brugge.
"It's a fantastic feeling to be back. Everyone knows how much this club means to me," the midfielder said. "I've obviously always continued to follow Feyenoord and I still know a lot of the lads. I'm really looking forward to joining the squad soon and I cannot wait to play at De Kuip again. Playing in that stadium is a magical experience."
