Report: Steelers' Brown OK after limping off field in practice
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown avoided significant injury after limping off the field during practice Monday, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Brown didn't re-aggravate a quad injury he suffered this summer, which kept him out of the team's first preseason game. The Steelers' superstar was unlikely to play significantly during the exhibition tilt, irrespective of the injury.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said his plan Monday was to have Brown work on individual drills. He confirmed to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Ed Bouchette that the superstar didn't aggravate the quad injury.
The 30-year-old is widely considered the NFL's best wide receiver, recording 101 receptions for 1,533 yards and nine touchdowns in 14 games during the 2017 season. Brown was named to his sixth Pro Bowl and fourth first-team All-Pro team at the end of the 2017 campaign.
