The Minnesota Timberwolves are sending a scout to Tuesday's preseason tilt between the Miami Heat and Charlotte Hornets, according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel's Ira Winderman.
The decision by Minnesota comes amid rumored trade discussions between the T-Wolves and Heat surrounding disgruntled star Jimmy Butler.
Opposing teams interested in Butler have so far been perplexed by the situation and uncertain of Minnesota's interest in moving him, as team president and head coach Tom Thibodeau has reportedly demanded a steep return for the four-time All-Star.
Thibodeau reportedly believed the team's situation with Butler was fixable after an August meeting, while Butler believed he made his feelings clear about his future.
