Dodgers' Bellinger claims NLCS MVP after hitting winning HR in Game 7

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder/first baseman Cody Bellinger was named Most Valuable Player of the National League Championship Series following his team's Game 7 victory against the Milwaukee Brewers.

The 23-year-old went 5-for-25 with two stolen bases and four RBIs. In Game 7, Bellinger hit the go-ahead - and ultimately winning - two-run home run in the second inning of the team's pennant-clinching effort on Saturday.

Bellinger also played an integral role in the Dodgers' Game 4 victory, going 2-for-4 with the walk-off single in the 13th inning.

The sophomore slugger is bouncing back from setting a record for strikeouts in a single World Series last year with 17. While Bellinger is still prone to the swing and miss, the budding star has struck out nine times through 104 plate appearances this year, compared to 12 punch outs in 38 trips to the plate through the first two rounds last postseason.
