Suspensions handed down to Ingram, Rondo, Paul for Rockets-Lakers fight
The NBA has disciplined those involved in the on-court brawl late in the fourth quarter of Saturday's game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets.
Lakers forward Brandon Ingram has been suspended four games without pay for "aggressively returning to and escalating the altercation in the direction of Chris Paul, confronting a game official in a hostile manner, and instigating the overall incident by shoving Rockets guard James Harden," the league announced Sunday.
His teammate, Rajon Rondo, received a three-game suspension without pay for "instigating a physical altercation with, and spitting and throwing multiple punches at, Paul."
CP3 has been issued a two-game suspension sans pay for "poking at and making contact with the face of Rondo, and throwing multiple punches at him."
The Rockets sent game video to the league earlier Sunday in order to make the case that Rondo expectorated on Paul, according to ESPN's Rachel Nichols.

Rondo had reportedly denied to Lakers officials that he spit on Paul. This marks the seventh time in his 13-year career that the veteran floor general has been suspended by either the league or his team. It's his first NBA-imposed suspension since using a homophobic slur against referee Bill Kennedy in 2015.
Houston is back in action against the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday before they return home to face the Utah Jazz on Wednesday. The Lakers' next four outings come against the San Antonio Spurs (Oct. 22, Oct. 27), Phoenix Suns (Oct. 24), and Denver Nuggets (Oct. 25).
