Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook is expected to miss the next two games and remain sidelined through the bye week, sources indicated to ESPN's Courtney Cronin.

Cook has been battling a hamstring injury for most of the season and appeared to suffer a setback in his recovery a couple weeks ago. The second-year runner has been limited to three appearances this year.

The Vikings are slated to meet the New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions over the next two weeks before entering their bye.

Cook rushed for 354 yards and two touchdowns in four games last year before a torn ACL ended his rookie campaign. He's managed just 98 yards on 36 carries this season.
