Broncos' Thomas puts odds of being traded at 50-50
The 2018 season is Demaryius Thomas' eighth with the Denver Broncos. The wide receiver is second in franchise receiving yards and is a team captain, but the five-time Pro Bowler is unsure of where he'll be playing beyond the NFL's Oct. 30 trade deadline.
"I wish I knew, bro. I wish I could tell you," he said on Sunday when asked about the odds of getting traded, via ESPN's Jeff Legwold. "I really don’t know. Predict? 50-50, 50-50."
The Broncos lost for the fifth time this season on Sunday when the Kansas City Chiefs beat them 30-23. Thomas finished the game with three catches for 30 yards.
Now third in the AFC West, the Broncos could pack it in for the season and unload veterans for future assets before the deadline.
"How would you feel at your job (if) your boss, whoever, said they wanted you someplace else?" Thomas added.
"And you come into work every day and have to think about it? How would you feel? But I had to do it for my team, like it was normal, act like it was normal. It just kept coming up, from left and right ... I had to think about it ... It’ll be interesting to see what happens in next couple days."
In eight games this season, Thomas has recorded 36 receptions for 402 yards and three touchdowns.
