Report: Fultz not in 76ers' long-term plans
Markelle Fultz is no longer a part of the Philadelphia 76ers' long-term plans, sources told Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The 76ers will not use Fultz's shoulder issues as an excuse for his shooting struggles anymore and are considering trading the 20-year-old combo guard, Pompey added.
Reports earlier this week suggested Fultz was hoping for a fresh start in a new situation.
Fultz's agent denied the reports shortly after, suggesting he'd given no indication that his client wants to be moved, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Trading for perennial All-Star Jimmy Butler has seemingly shifted the franchises focus toward championship contention.
Philadelphia acquired Butler and Justin Patton from the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Dario Saric, Robert Covington, Jerryd Bayless, and a second-round pick on Nov. 12.
Fultz has since been demoted from the starting lineup and has missed the last two games with an injured wrist and shoulder.
