Report: Hill's foot injury 'nothing serious,' considered day to day
The Kansas City Chiefs and their fans can breathe a collective sigh of relief.
Further examination of wide receiver Tyreek Hill's foot indicated that the injury suffered against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday is "nothing serious," a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Hill will be considered day to day ahead of Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers, Schefter adds.
The 24-year-old was in and out of the Week 14 contest due to the issue, but he was able to finish the day with eight catches for 139 yards. It was a solid bounce-back performance for the third-year pro who had caught just one of six passes for a mere 13 yards against the Oakland Raiders in Week 13.
Hill has 74 receptions for 1,258 yards and 11 touchdowns through 13 games. He's likely to continue being leaned on heavily down the stretch run following the release of running back Kareem Hunt and with uncertainty surrounding the health of fellow wide receiver Sammy Watkins.
