Report: Teams believe Cardinals considering Murray with No. 1 pick
There may be some drama to kick off the 2019 NFL Draft.
Some teams believe the Arizona Cardinals are targeting quarterback Kyler Murray with the No. 1 overall pick, multiple league sources told SNY's Ralph Vacchiano.
Arizona drafted quarterback Josh Rosen 10th overall in 2018, but speculation of its interest in Murray arose when Kliff Kingsbury was hired as the team's new head coach. While still at Texas Tech, Kingsbury said he'd take Murray with the first pick in the draft "if I could."
Rumors continued to spread Wednesday when Cardinals general manager Steve Keim told reporters that Rosen was the team's quarterback "right now."
The Sooners prospect is expected to be an early first-round pick as one of the top quarterbacks available in April's draft.
