Lakers' Ball hints at move from Big Baller Brand to Nike
Los Angeles Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball hinted on Instagram Saturday that he'll be joining the Nike brand.
The 21-year-old sophomore posted an image of himself with his No. 2 up in the rafters alongside other Lakers legends. The picture prominently displays the phrase "It's only a crazy dream until you do it," which stems from Nike's Dream Crazy campaign.
The profile photo for his account has also been changed to one of him as a young child wearing a white Nike T-shirt.
It was reported on Friday that Ball was cutting ties with Big Baller Brand co-founder Alan Foster due to alleged criminal activity and $1.5 million being unaccounted for from Ball's business and personal accounts.
Ball is currently sidelined with a season-ending ankle injury which has kept him out of action since Jan. 21. The Lakers reportedly reached out to him earlier in the season to express concerns over his Big Baller Brand footwear and whether it's played a role in his multiple ankle injuries.
