Former Los Angeles Lakers forward Metta World Peace believes he would fare well as a head coach in the NBA.
The man formerly known as Ron Artest explained in a series of tweets Tuesday night that he could easily coach a team to an NBA championship.
No question I would win title as a @NBA head coach . I just had a debate with this guy. He said I don’t have the experience. Listen dude , it’s not difficult. Keep spacing , move to open areas , mix C with Triangle and play defense.

Just because I’m a street legend and super QB , doesn’t mean I can’t run through the @NBA as a head coach . Don’t sleep on Metta World. Anyway, catch me coaching locally in LA.

While World Peace has never coached at the NBA level, he was hired as a player development coach by the Lakers' G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, for the 2017-18 season.
Here is my pitch for head coach. Lol. Seriously . “ You wanna win or what”. Lol. I’m literally not bringing in any pad or plan. It is what it is. I’m dope and that’s that. Lol.

World Peace spent last summer playing in the BIG3, but recently announced that he won't be returning to the three-on-three league because he plans on "coaching more locally."
