Watch: Lonely Island spoofs Canseco, McGwire in new Netflix special
Warning: Videos contain coarse language
Imagine if Oakland Athletics legends Jose Canseco and Mark McGwire released a rap album in the 1980s. That's the concept behind "The Unauthorized Bash Brothers Experience," a new "visual poem" from comedy trio The Lonely Island.
The project, which was released on Netflix, stars Andy Samberg as Canseco and Akiva Schaffer as McGwire.
"In a stunning act of artistry/fandom, Andy Samberg and Akiva Schaffer (who were born to play Canseco and McGwire due to their equally muscular physiques) have gifted all of Netflix's 190 countries with a 27-minute musical poem experience honoring The Bash Brothers, the Oakland A's, and the game of baseball," a press release reads.
Canesco shared his thoughts on the project Thursday, tweeting, "Just watched 'The Unauthorized Bash Brothers' video! I can't stop laughing. Loved it."
