Phillies select UNLV shortstop Bryson Stott No. 14 overall
With the 14th pick in the 2019 MLB amateur draft, the Philadelphia Phillies selected Bryson Stott, a shortstop out of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Known for his high-end bat-to-ball skills and plate discipline, Stott possesses one of the most well-rounded college bats in the draft. While he hasn't shown much power, his quiet hands should make him a plus hitter, even if he doesn't stick at shortstop.
