Toronto Raptors forward OG Anunoby's appendix ruptured before his emergency appendectomy in April and an infection complicated his recovery, he told The Athletic's Blake Murphy on Wednesday.
Raptors coach Nick Nurse said Monday that Anunoby, who hasn't played since April 9, could make his return during the NBA Finals.
The 21-year-old missed 15 games due to various issues during his sophomore campaign and his shooting percentages dropped across the board. Despite somewhat struggling during the regular season, Anunoby would still provide Toronto a boost as another switchable defender against the Golden State Warriors.
