Klay Thompson's father Mychal told the San Francisco Chronicle's Connor Letourneau on Friday that there's "no question" his son will re-sign with the Golden State Warriors this summer.
Thompson suffered a torn left ACL during the Warriors' Game 6 elimination loss to the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals and is reportedly expected to be sidelined for nine-to-10 months.
His current four-year, $69-million contract with the Dubs expires June 30. Before his and teammate Kevin Durant's devastating injuries, the pair were expected to be two of the NBA's most sought-after free agents this summer.
Mychal Thompson is a radio broadcaster for the Los Angeles Lakers, one of the teams rumored to have interest in Klay.
