Alexandrov has the potential to be a versatile, well-rounded, two-way forward capable of playing up and down a lineup. He doesn't have the highest ceiling, but he's a safe bet to become an NHLer.
The Russian is a nice passer with good vision. He's willing to get creative with the puck on his stick and can be successful at times, but his hands in tight aren't necessarily a strength. He has a good shot and can beat goaltenders with ease when he has time and space.
Alexandrov's size is nothing to write home about, but he battles hard and finishes his checks.
What they're saying
"It’s hard to find a true weakness in his game," said The Athletic's Corey Pronman.
