Game-worn Zion sneakers to be auctioned off for 1st time ever
The first of what figures to be many pairs of sneakers worn by Zion Williamson have found their way to the auction block.
Goldin Auctions is set to auction off a pair of size 14 Nike Kyrie 5s worn by the former Duke star during a game against San Diego State at the Maui Invitational on Nov. 19, 2018, according to TMZ Sports. The shoes could fetch over $25,000.
"Even though these are not those historic sneakers, the fact that he played in just 33 college basketball games and these are his first sneakers to be offered at auction make them a truly special item," Goldin Auctions founder Ken Goldin said.
The "historic sneakers" Goldin mentioned are Williamson's blown-out Nike PG 2.5s, which have an estimated value of $250,000.
Bidding on the Kyrie 5s begins July 8.
