Seahawks' Lockett says Airbnb host turned him away due to net worth
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett had a bizarre experience with an Airbnb host this week.
As Lockett explained on Twitter, he booked a house through the online rental service for an upcoming trip, but the host canceled on him because he was "overqualified" to stay there. This left Lockett scrambling to find another place to book one week before he was set to depart.
I booked this Airbnb. And this man responded and said why are you staying at my house. Basically your overqualified and canceled my request.

So after accepting my request. He cancels it and says he thinks I should spend my money on higher end houses cause of my net worth.........

Wow
And we are a week away from our trip.... @Airbnb y’all gotta give me credit on my next house or something. Now we screwed out of a house. We probably gotta get a hotel now

Fortunately for Lockett, Airbnb stepped in to resolve the situation.
Thank you @Airbnb for taking care of this situation! You guys are the best!!

Lockett is entering the second season of a three-year, $31.8-million contract extension he signed with the Seahawks last summer.
