Following his record-breaking run on "Jeopardy!," James Holzhauer is hoping to land a front-office job.

The 34-year-old professional sports bettor made an appearance on MLB Network Radio on Friday and took the opportunity to make a pitch to Chicago Cubs general manager Jed Hoyer.

"My whole adult life I've been looking at things from a different way and finding things that other people don't find," Holzhauer, a lifelong Cubs fan, said. "I don't know what particular projects he and the brass are looking at right now, but I know that there's something there that I could see that no one else would."

The hosts then relayed Holzhauer's message to Hoyer, who sounded open to the idea of bringing the "Jeopardy!" champion on board.

"I tell ya, that was one of the most incredible streaks and he is so impressive," Hoyer said. "Obviously, his love for baseball and love for the Cubs is well known and, hey, listen, I think people that can excel at something like that, they can probably excel at anything. So, certainly, it's something we'll keep in mind."

Holzhauer earned a total of $2,464,216 in his 33 appearances on "Jeopardy!," making him the game show's second-highest grossing winner in regular play behind Ken Jennings.
