Rockets writer plans to honor bet, get Westbrook tattoo on face
A Houston Rockets writer will be making good on his promise to get a Russell Westbrook tattoo following the team's acquisition of the eight-time NBA All-Star.
Taylor Pate, a contributor to the website Red Nation Hoops, was so confident the trade wouldn't happen that he vowed to get Westbrook's 2016-17 MVP season averages - 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 10.4 assists - tattooed on his face.
If the Rockets trade for Russell Westbrook, I'll tattoo his MVP season averages on my face. https://t.co/B7O9BXR37r

The trade did happen, and after receiving his wife's blessing, Pate announced he'll be getting the tattoo on his inner lip.
So the tattoo is happening. I'll be getting it inside my lip. I'm going to live stream it on my Twitch channel. Tentative date is next Saturday, may move it to Friday depending on how things go.
