Lewis Hamilton, Chris Paul producing vegan documentary with James Cameron
Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton, NBA point guard Chris Paul, and tennis star Novak Djokovic have teamed up with Academy Award-winning director James Cameron to produce a documentary about plant-based diets in sports.
The film, titled "The Game Changers," is directed by Louie Psihoyos, who won an Oscar for his 2009 documentary "The Cove." Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jackie Chan will also serve as executive producers.
"I heard that James Cameron actually wanted to get in touch to talk about this project that he was involved in, and I'm a massive fan," Hamilton told Phillip van Osten of F1i.com. "So, I obviously jumped at the opportunity just to be a part of it, and it's just really cool."
Hamilton, Paul, and Djokovic all follow plant-based diets. Paul also invested in the plant-based food company Beyond Meat earlier this year.
"The Game Changers" will premiere worldwide Sept. 16.
