Texans waive D'Onta Foreman
The Houston Texans waived running back D'Onta Foreman, the team announced Sunday.
The Texans were displeased with the 2017 third-round pick's work habits, according to John McClain of The Houston Chronicle.
Foreman ran for 327 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie before suffering a torn Achilles in November 2017.
The tailback missed nearly all of last season due to the injury but was widely expected to regain his role as Lamar Miller's primary backup.
However, head coach Bill O'Brien recently hinted that Foreman wasn't meeting expectations during training camp.
Josh Ferguson, Buddy Howell, and Taiwan Jones are now the Texans' veteran options behind Miller. Undrafted rookies Damarea Crockett and Karan Higdon Jr. round out the team's backfield depth.
