Another cast member has been unveiled for HBO's upcoming drama pilot about the "Showtime" Los Angeles Lakers.
Michael Shannon will play former Lakers owner Jerry Buss in "The Untitled Showtime Lakers Project," according to Variety's Elaine Low. Shannon's past acting credits include roles in "The Shape of Water," "Boardwalk Empire," and "Revolutionary Road."

The pilot was previously known as "Showtime," but is now untitled. It's based on Jeff Pearlman's book "Showtime: Magic, Kareem, Riley, and the Los Angeles Lakers Dynasty of the 1980s."
HBO announced earlier this month that Jason Clarke has been cast as Jerry West.
