A pair of New Yorkers are looking to profit off the success of Giants rookie quarterback Daniel Jones.
Christopher Lamparillo and Michael Jakab filed an application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office to trademark "Danny Dimes" for use on Jones-related clothing and apparel, according to Anthony Zurita of the North Jersey Record.
The men submitted the application on Sept. 17, the day the Giants announced they were benching Eli Manning in favor of Jones. That same day, Fanatics reported a 500% increase in sales of Jones' jersey.
Jones will make his home debut Sunday after leading the Giants to a 32-31 comeback victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in his first start.
