Brandon Marshall ready to squash beef with Jay Cutler
Brandon Marshall has been critical of Jay Cutler in recent years, but he says he'd be open to hashing things out with his former teammate.
"I would like to have a beer with Jay Cutler. It would be an interesting conversation," Marshall told TMZ Sports. "I've been killing him the last couple years - well, not really. He doesn't care. Jay's cool, but our relationship should be better ... I haven't talked to him since Week 2 of our last season."
Marshall and Cutler were teammates on the Denver Broncos from 2006-08 and later played together on the Chicago Bears from 2012-14.
The free-agent wide receiver's comments came a little over a week after he called the retired quarterback a "bad" leader during an appearance on ESPN's "First Take."
Still, Marshall thinks he and Cutler will get to a better place one day.
"Yeah, life's too short, man," Marshall said. "Like at the end of the day, although I didn't like how he approached some of the things with our team and he didn't like how I approached some things, which is fair, but we did a lot together. Some special stuff."
